Commodore 1084 Monitor Capacitor List ------------------------------------- Compiled by Guru (http://gurudumps.blogspot.com.au) Notes: 1. This cap list is for monitor model 1084.... no -P, no S. Just 1084. It is virtually identical to a 1081, including the same Philips flyback E39144-36731 The replacement flyback is also the same... HR6489. Note this flyback is not 100% compatible and will show vertical dark bands mostly on the left side of the monitor. The main difference to the 1081 is the addition of luma/chroma jacks on the rear. The 1084S kept these same jacks and added an extra audio jack for right audio to give stereo sound, but this monitor (1084) has only 1 audio jack and 1 speaker. 2. Higher voltage caps can be used. 3. DON'T use lower voltage caps or different uF rating! 4. In general if you want your monitor to last replace ALL of the capacitors. 5. Only use quality Japanese capacitors from companies like Rubycon, Nichicon, Nippon Chemi-Con, Matsushita/Panasonic etc etc. 6. These caps are documented on *my* monitor. Before changing your caps check *your* monitor to confirm the correct capacitor values and voltage ratings.
