1.0  Introduction

This software update is for use with the XCLAIM 3D only.

2.0  Installation Notes

To obtain and install the version 2.1 software follow these steps:

1) Download the updated software by clicking on the X3D21.HQX filename
   (hotlink), and select a location for the file to be saved.

2) When the download is complete, locate the X3D21.HQX file, and
   double-click on it.

!  The file will begin to decode, and create two items; 
   "XCLAIM 3D Installer.SIT" file and an "Xclaim 3D Installer" folder.

3) Open the XCLAIM 3D Installer folder, and double-click on the 
   "XCLAIM 3D Installer" icon. 

4) Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.

If you are experiencing sound corruption issues, and you have an Apple
7200 system, in addition to the above procedure, you must install the
Sound Catalyst extension using the following steps:

1) From the XCLAIM 3D Installer folder, locate the ATI Supplemental
   Items folder and open it.

2) Double-click on the ATI Sound Catalyst Installer icon.

3) Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
